What are you looking forward to the most?
“I’m most looking forward to performing in The Speigltent. The venue is so beautiful and the team there are brilliant, so it’ll be a treat to be on that stage again. The way the stage is designed in the round means every seat in the house has an excellent view, so it’s lovely to be close to the whole audience.”
What can the audience expect from the show?
“The audience can expect a brilliant show, of course! We are bringing a bit of old-school glamour with some incredible circus thrown in for good measure. The show will transport you back to the speakeasies and bars of the ‘good ole’ days, with a sensational live band.”
What is involved in your role as compere of the evening?
“My job is to keep everything running smoothly! I’ll be guiding the audience through the show and making sure they know what to expect, perhaps with a few surprises along the way.”
If you had 30 seconds to convince someone who has never heard of the RCC to buy a ticket, what would you say?
“If you’re tired of watching boring talent shows on TV with the same regurgitated ‘reality’ stories, you need to head down to The Raspberry Cannoli Cabaret, a place where all are welcome, the only rules are that you grab a cocktail and let your hair down!”
Will there be many costume changes?
“Well it’s an hour’s show, and I’m onstage for a good portion of it, so I’ll have to see if I can slip off and work out some glamorous changes!”
Are there any numbers that you are looking forward to performing?
“Ray and I performed a duet at the Norwich edition of The Raspberry Cannoli Cabaret and I really loved singing with the band, so I’ll be looking forward to the duet with him. He’s a fantastic singer and a very generous performer. A real treat to share the stage with him!”
